Topic #2: First Impressions of California

     What were my first impressions of California? I think it should be called amazing.
     I arrived California on the beginning of March this year. When I walked out of the airport and saw the real world there, I felt that it was so clean. The air was so fresh, and it seemed that it had already refresh myself from the tired long way travel. When I headed up to the sky, I found that even the sky was purer than my hometown. All the environment was great, and no rubbish was on road.
     Then we were driving on the free way, and I found that it was really free. Comparing with California's free way, my hometown's free way is charged. Also, the speed was so fast when I first drive on the free way, I felt like I had over speeded, and I was worried whether I would meet an accident; on the other hand, the car behind me was making noice to let me go faster. How terrible and exciting it was. After I drove down the free way and drove on the local way, I found that there were lots of stop signs there which will not be found in my country. It really surprised me.
     After had a rest at home for 2 days, we went to daily shopping in Costco. There you will never find something in small size. The milk box is in big size which makes me cannot finish drinking it at one time; also, the toilet paper is so much in one plastic bag, and the good thing is that I will not buy it nearly two months; furthermore, the shampoo, the soap, even the toothbrushes, all of them are in large box or large plastic bags. Shopping for one time, then I do not need to go shopping for a long time. Should I say that it is awsome or it is terrible?
     The other thing was that when we went out to eat, until we walked into the eating place, we would never find that it was a place for eating, because the decorating out of the resturant is very simple, unlike my country; as a result, people like me will hardly discover it by myself.
     Now I have been living here for 6 months, everything goes well except for the weather; nevertheless, we have the air conditioner to prevent hot from us.
     In conclusion, I really like here.
